I work full~time as a substitute teacher and part~time as a sales floor associate. I have been following the Pagan path for about eight years now, and I have seen a lot of good stuff happen.
I collect faeries (I even have a little 'altar' dedicated to them.) I also collect stickers. I have an album that I put them in and a lot of the times, when I go to a store, I pick up a couple of new sticker sheets.
I love to read in my spare time, whether it's during a break at my sub job, or at home when it's quiet (that would mean when the kids are asleep.)
I am originally from Massachusetts, but have moved all up and down the East coast, and currently reside in South Carolina.
I have moderate ADD and nearly severe OCD. A couple of years ago I was seeing a psychiatrist who diagnosed me with bipolar disorder. He put me on these meds that made me so sedated, that I was like a spaced~ out blob. And he kept increasing those meds! I went into a deep depression and thought about killing myself, or, at least, severely hurting myself. I stayed in a psychiatric hospital for four days and I had met some really cool people. When my ex~husband and I went to marriage counseling, our counselor was also a therapist for mental health patients. To make a long story short, she discovered that I do NOT have bipolar disorder. So, I made an appointment with the psychiatrist that she knows, and I am so glad that I did! He gradually took me off those zombie~induced meds and I am back to my old self again. The only meds I take now are for OCD. I immediately stopped going to see my old psych and now continue to see this new one. He is awesome!
I've always had an active imagination. When I was younger, my brother John and I, along with one of his friends, use to explore these woods and we dubbed ourselves "the spookbusters." We "saw" all kinds of spooky things in there. There was a section of the woods where there were all kinds of clear plastic sheets hanging on trees, that blew in the wind. This was the "ghost cave." There was also this one part where there was a moss~covered log over a small hole full of leaves and tree branches. Everytime we walked across the log, we felt like we were "The Goonies."
Even though I loved to play with dolls and dress up and play school, I also liked to do what the boys were doing. I climbed trees, did stunts on my bike, explored, and played Dungeons & Dragons. There was this one pine tree that had an opening and we used that as our fort. I have climbed to the very top of it. The boys used to chase us girls and try to kiss us. So, one day, when I was being chased, I climbed to the very top of the tree and jumped down on one side. Luckily, since it was a pine tree, the sways broke my fall. We also made ramps to do jumps on our bikes. We had this game that we played where we take turns jumping over our friends, who lay in a row on the ground. You always hated being the last in the row (more of a chance of a bike landing on you), but being the last in the row meant that it was your turn next. Amazingly enough, none of us got hurt.
My younger sister and I used to sing all the time. We even put on concerts for our friends. We liked to record ourselves, so my mom would bring the tapes to work. Everyone that heard it thought we were good. I even got invited to sing at a couple of weddings! And, one year, Jaimie and I sang at a Christmas party.
Okay, so...I also love to create websites (no duh), and I am addicted to blogs and communities. I am also quite the glogster, even though my glogs have yet to become top glogs. Oh, well, whatever.
